Recommendations:

  • Cleaning: The adhered surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease. The best cleaning effect is achieved using solvents such as isopropanol (IPA) (first test for surface damage in inconspicuous areas). Dust and oil stains are the biggest reasons for adhesive failure.
  • Drying: Ensure that the surface is completely dry after cleaning.
  • Smooth: Ensure a smooth and even surface as much as possible. For very rough surfaces, double-sided tape may not be the best choice or require special types.
  • polish/primer: For difficult to stick materials, slight polishing to increase surface area or using a specialized primer can significantly improve adhesion.
